What if you could predict your plan’s Star Rating?

Every year, CMS assigns a Star Rating to each Medicare Advantage contract — 1 to 5 stars, derived from 42 measures across 9 domains. Below 4.0, a plan forfeits the 5% Quality Bonus Payment. For a 200,000-member plan, that single tenth-of-a-star cliff can be worth $50–80 million.

The predictor below uses ordinal logistic regression, calibrated to CMS 2025 measure weights and the MA-PD star distribution, and collapses the 42 measures into four high-leverage inputs. Move the sliders. Watch the rating, the probability distribution, and the cut-point visualization update. For the full methodology, see the methodology post.
